The State Statistical Office will electronically download the foreign trade data from the Customs Administration. This is determined by the Memorandum of Cooperation, which was signed by the director of the State Statistical Office, Dejan Stankov, and the director of the Customs Administration, Boban Nikolovski.
"The electronic download of data from the Customs Administration is an extremely significant step in the direction of further harmonization, modernization and improvement of the systems," Stankov pointed out.
Director Stankov, at today's signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Customs Administration, emphasized that the institution is making huge efforts to digitize processes and increase the use of administrative sources in the production of official statistical data.
The memorandum is in the direction of promotion of inter-institutional cooperation through data exchange and a higher degree of digitization.
"The Customs Administration is dedicated to the process of promoting inter-institutional cooperation, which ultimately should enable us to create sustainable economic growth. Such a step is only part of our commitment to joint action in the direction of improving the conditions for business. The data sets that we provide in the field of foreign trade enable companies to conduct market research and define their strategies, for economic studies, but also for the promotion of trade policies at the state level," said the director of the Customs Administration, Boban Nikolovski.
Both sides expressed their commitment to further deepening of the cooperation, and the signing of the Memorandum strengthens and improves the already established practices of information and data exchange.
