Collecting data for updating the sampling frame for social statistics

In the second quarter of 2015, the State Statistical Office started collecting data on observation units in randomly selected statistical areas on a quarterly basis, in order to update the sampling frame for household-based statistical surveys.

This activity provides up-to-date and high-quality information on the households and the number of people living in them, as well as the number, type and territorial distribution of the dwellings.

Statistical data obtained with this activity are used exclusively for statistical purposes, for updating the sampling frame, and represent the basis for preparation and implementation of sample surveys in the field of social statistics.
