On 16 and 17 October, the regular annual mission for evaluation of the State Statistical Office was carried out by Eurostat, in cooperation with the European Commission. Representatives of Eurostat and the EU Delegation to the Republic of Macedonia first had a meeting and discussion with the Director of the SSO. They were informed about the current activities of the Office as well as the future priorities for improvement of work processes, enhancement of quality and modernisation of the procedures for collecting and accessing data of the Office. There were also working meetings with employees from all sectors of the Office, who presented in detail their work and achievements towards harmonisation of Macedonian legislation with the EU acquis in statistics.
