In Hotel Porta, Skopje, a workshop was held today on the topic "Statistical Literacy", which was attended by representatives of non-governmental organisations from various parts of the country. The workshop was designed in two parts; in the first part, experts from the State Statistical Office gave three presentations on the basics of statistical literacy, and afterwards, the workshop participants, under the supervision of the SSO statisticians, worked on downloading particular data from the website of the SSO, their tabulation and, finally, interpretation of the data. This workshop, as well as the previous ones organised together with the UNFPA Office in Skopje and the Platform for Tackling Poverty, generated great interest and a second workshop of this kind will soon be held, thus continuing this cooperation in the future.
