In the period from 13 to 16 February 2017, a Peer Review of the national statistical system will be conducted in the State Statistical Office focusing on the Office as the main coordinator of this system.
Experts-reviewers will hold separate meetings with SSO’s top management, SSO’s employees, as well as with separate target groups: other national authorities, Statistical Council, representatives of the scientific community, representatives of main data providers and users, as well as with the media.
The main objectives of the Peer Review are to objectively determine the improvement in the harmonisation with the European Code of Practice, to strengthen the capacities for production of high quality statistics, to identify the areas where further harmonisation is needed, to improve the transparency and credibility of the statistical system, to promote innovative practices in the European Statistical System.
