The State Statistical Office will conduct the Pilot Census of Agriculture in the period from 15 to 30 June 2022.
The Pilot Census will cover a number of family farms and business entities that are registered for and engaged in agricultural activities.
The main purpose of the Pilot Census is to test the methodology and questionnaires for conducting the Census, as well as the organisational and technical aspects of this activity.
To that end, a number of family farms will be visited in selected municipalities (Ilinden, Kumanovo, Tetovo, Kavadarci, Krivogashtani, Strumica and Cheshinovo-Obleshevo), as well as business entities in several municipalities: Ilinden, Gazi Baba, Kisela Voda, Butel, Tetovo, Kumanovo, Strumica, Bitola, Resen, etc.
The enumerators, trained by the State Statistical Office, will visit the agricultural holdings and business entities and interview them using handheld computers - tablets.
The Pilot Census is carried out in accordance with the Law on State Statistics, and the methodological and organisational aspects are fully compliant with European regulations: Regulation (EU) 2018/1091 on integrated farm statistics, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/1874 and Regulation (EU) 2021/2269.
The cooperation and participation of households and business entities in this statistical activity will help the State Statistical Office to successfully carry out the main Census of Agriculture next year.
