Environmental protection expenditures

The public has become increasingly aware of the need to protect the environment against pollution and waste. Environmental protection is now being integrated into all policy fields with the general aim of ensuring sustainable development.

With the purpose of improving statistics, the State Statistical Office carried out for the first time a survey on Environmental Protection Expenditures, which is one module of Environmental Accounts as satellite accounts of National Accounts. Data presented in the release refer to 2013.

The survey will be conducted regularly with annual periodicity.
