The Director of the State Statistical Office, Mr. Dejan Stankov, had a meeting with the Minister of Finance, Ms. Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska, where opinions were exchanged on the cooperation and intensification of activities between the two institutions.
The Ministry of Finance, as an authorised body for conducting statistical surveys, is an important participant in the national statistical system, and the cooperation and joint activities of the two institutions contribute to the completion of the set of macroeconomic indicators. At the same time, the Ministry of Finance is an active user of statistical data produced by the SSO, which are primarily relevant in policy making and evidence-based decision making.
Ms. Dimitrieska-Kochoska and Mr. Stankov agreed that the joint activities for the production of official statistical data will continue in the coming period, and the Ministry of Finance will provide all the support needed by the SSO for the implementation of the current Programme of Statistical Surveys.
