The constitutive session of the newly appointed Statistical Council was held yesterday at the State Statistical Office.
The Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia appointed the President and the 13 members of the Council who, during their term of 4 years, will give opinions on the Five-Year Programme of Statistical Surveys, the Annual Report of the State Statistical Office as well as on other regulations in the field of official statistics. The Council will also give opinions and proposals for modernisation and rationalisation of state statistics and for improvement of international statistical cooperation.
The Council is presided over by Prof. Blagoja Markoski, PhD, while the Director of the State Statistical Office, Mr. Apostol Simovski, is an ex officio member of the Council.
