Indices of unit value of exported and imported goods in the Republic of Macedonia 1998-2005

This edition of the State Statistical Office of the Republic of Macedonia presents the methodological guidelines for index calculations of prices (unit value) and volume index of the exported and imported goods. This methodology comprises all elements of index calculations, including the methodological bases, the indices processing and their publishing. .

The monthly monitoring of price indices of exported and imported goods aims to analyze the dynamic movement of these prices, which is most usually used in macroeconomic surveys. The expression “price” is just an expression, because the calculation is actually done on the basis of the unit values of exported and imported goods.
