Environmental taxes, 2022 - preliminary data

According to the State Statistical Office data, in the Republic of North Macedonia, a total of 13 266.4 million denars of environmental

taxes were paid in 2022, which is 7.1% less than in 2021. In 2022, energy taxes had the the largest share in the environmental taxes with

61.9%, followed by transport taxes with 37.2% and pollution taxes with 0.9%.

The share of environmental taxes in the gross domestic product in 2022 was 1.8%.
