According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the I quarter of 2012, the labour force in the Republic of Macedonia numbered 941 019 persons, of which 643 668 or 68.4% were employed, while 297 351 or 31.6% were unemployed persons.
The activity rate in this period was 56.4, the employment rate was 38.6, while the unemployment rate was 31.6.
