According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the II quarter of 2010, the labour force in the Republic of Macedonia numbered 923323 persons, of which 627129 or 67.9% were employed and 296194 or 32.1% were unemployed persons.

The activity rate in this period was 56.0, the employment rate was 38.1, whereas the unemployment rate was 32.1.
