According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in 2016, the labour force in the Republic of Macedonia numbered 948 599 persons, of which 723 550 were employed, while 225 049 were unemployed persons.
The activity rate in this period was 56.5, the employment rate was 43.1, while the unemployment rate was 23.7.
