According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the I quarter of 2016, the labour force in the Republic of Macedonia numbered 945 821 persons, of which 714 435 were employed, while 231 386 were unemployed persons.
The activity rate in this period was 56.4, the employment rate was 42.6, while the unemployment rate was 24.5.
