According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the II quarter of 2022, the labour force in the Republic of North Macedonia numbered 812 056 persons, of which 694 376 were employed, while 117 680 were unemployed persons.
The activity rate in this period was 55.3, the employment rate was 47.3, while the unemployment rate was 14.5.
The data for the first and second quarter of 2022 were processed using regional demographic distributions by sex and five-year age groups for calibration of the population in accordance with the data from the Census 2021. Estimates for 2021 and forecasts for Q1 and Q2 2022 will be produced very soon, followed by corrections to the Q1 and Q2 2022 releases.
