According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the I quarter of 2022, the labour force in the Republic of North Macedonia numbered 811 197 persons, of which 691 498 were employed, while 119 699 were unemployed persons.
The activity rate in this period was 55.3, the employment rate was 47.1, while the unemployment rate was 14.8.
The data for the first quarter of 2022 were processed using regional demographic distributions by sex and five-year age groups for calibration of the population in accordance with the data from the Census 2021.
