Active Population in the Republic of Macedonia Results from the Labour Force Survey, IV quarter 2013

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the IV quarter of 2013, the labour force in the Republic of
Macedonia numbered 960 704 persons, of which 685 479 were employed, while 275 225 were unemployed persons.

The activity rate in this period was 57.3, the employment rate was 40.9, while the unemployment rate was 28.6.

The State Statistical Office makes continuous efforts to shorten the planned deadlines for publishing the statistical data in order to meet user needs for obtaining quality and timely data. The result of these efforts is the early publication of the news release with statistical data on active population for the fourth quarter of 2013, on 14 March 2014, i.e. three days ahead of the scheduled date according to the Advance Release Calendar.
