According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the fourth quarter of 2012, the number of passengers carried in road passenger transport was 4 156 000, in rail transport 230 000, in urban-suburban transport 19 803 000, while the number of passengers carried in air transport was 198 179.
In the same period, in comparison with the fourth quarter of 2011, the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport increased by 9.6%, in air transport it decreased by 6.3%, while in rail transport it decreased by 21.8%.
