According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the third quarter of 2012, the number of passengers carried in road passenger transport was 3 804 000, in rail transport 244 000, in urban-suburban transport 13 743 000, while the number of passengers carried in air transport was 306 512.
In the same period, in comparison with the third quarter of 2011, the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport increased by 25.4%, in air transport it decreased by 5.2%, while in rail transport it decreased by 15.1%.
