Transport of passengers and goods in the first quarter of 2012

According to the data of State Statistical Office, in the first quarter of 2012, the number of passengers carried in road
passenger transport was 3 571 000, in rail transport 288 000, in urban-suburban transport 17 231 000, whereas the
number of passengers carried in air transport was 170 228.
In the same period, in comparison with the first quarter of 2011, the quantity of goods carried in freight road
transport decreased by 48.3%, in air transport by 10.4%, whereas in rail transport it decreased by 10.8%.
