According to the data of the State Statistical Offce, in the third quarter of 2011, the number of passengers carried in road passenger transport was 3 841 000, in rail transport 352 000, in urban-suburban transport 13 585 000, whereas the number of passengers carried in air transport was 298 550.
In the same period, in comparison with the third quarter of 2010, the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport decreased by 33.6%, in rail transport by 14.3%, whereas in air transport it increased by 6.3%.
