Transport of passenger and goods in the second quarter of 2011

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the second quarter of 2011, the number of passengers carried in road passenger transport was 3 992 000, in rail transport 377 000, in urban-suburban transport 16 429 000, whereas the number of passengers carried in air transport was 197 046.

In the same period, in comparison with the second quarter of 2010, the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport decreased by 27.4%, in rail transport by 22.8%, whereas in air transport it increased by 3.9%.
