Transport of passengers and goods in the first quarter of 2011

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the first quarter of 2011, the number of passengers carried in road passenger transport was 3 768 000, in rail transport 337 000, in urban-suburban transport 17 106 000, whereas the number of passengers carried in air transport was 137 498.

In the same period, in comparison with the first quarter of 2010, the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport increased by 70.7%, in air transport by 12.6%, whereas in rail transport it decreased by 2.0%.
