Transport of passengers and goods in the fourth quarter of 2010

According to the data of the State Statistical Offce, in the fourth quarter of 2010, the number of passengers carried in road passenger transport was 3 775 000, in rail transport 389 000, in urban-suburban transport 18 492 000, whereas the number of passengers carried in air transport was 166 888.

In the same period, in comparison with the fourth quarter of 2009, the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport decreased by 25.5%, in rail transport by 10.5%, whereas in air transport it increased by 6.8%.
