Transport of passengers and goods in the fourth quarter of 2018

According to the data of State Statistical Office, in the fourth quarter of 2018, in comparison with the same period of 2017, the number
of passengers carried in road passenger transport is increased by 12.4% and in urban-suburban transport by 1.4%, in rail transport
decreased by 3.5%, whereas the number of passengers carried in air transport increased by 8.7%.
In comparison with the third quarter of 2018, the number of passengers carried in road passenger transport decreased by 1.7%, in
urban-suburban transport increased by 29.2%, in rail transport by 10.5%, and in air transport decreased by 33.1%.
In the fourth quarter of 2018, in comparison with the same period of 2017, the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport
increased by 21.7%, in rail transport decreased by 25.9%, whereas in air transport it increased by 8.0%.
In comparison with the third quarter of 2018, the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport decreased by 9.7%, in rail transport
by 27.1%, whereas in air transport it decreased by 31.4%.
