Transport of passengers and goods in the third quarter of 2018

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the third quarter of 2018, compared to the same period of 2017, the number
of passengers carried in road passenger transport increased by 3.8%, in urban-suburban transport it decreased by 0.6% and in rail
transport by 1.6%, whereas the number of passengers carried in air transport increased by 14.1%.
In comparison with the second quarter of 2018, the number of passengers carried in road passenger transport increased by 0.3%, in
urban-suburban transport it decreased by 20.5% and in rail transport by 16.2%, while in air transport it increased by 31.7%.
In the third quarter of 2018, in comparison with the same period of 2017, the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport
increased by 2.2%, in air transport by 68.5% and in rail transport by 20.9%.
Compared to the second quarter of 2018, the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport decreased by 16.1%, in air transport it
increased by 67.9%, whereas in rail transport it decreased by 9.1%.
