In road passenger transport, the number of passengers carried increased by 16.9%, in the second quarter of 2010, compared with the same period of 2009.

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the second quarter of 2010 the number of passengers carried in rail transport was 398 000, in urban-suburban transport 15 907 000, whereas the number of passengers carried in air transport was 171 687.

In the same period the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport increased by 7.1%, in rail transport by 25.3%, whereas in air transport it increased by 10.4%.
