According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the second quarter of 2017, compared to the same period of 2016, the number of passengers carried in road passenger transport increased by 13.6%, in urban-suburban transport by 9.6% and in air transport by 5.7%, whereas the number of passengers carried in rail transport decreased by 23.5%.
In comparison with the first quarter of 2017, the number of passengers carried in road passenger transport grew by 21.5%, in urban-suburban transport by 4.8%, in rail transport by 27.5%, and in air transport by 33.0%.
In the second quarter of 2017, in comparison with the same period of 2016, the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport rose by 45.7%, in air transport by 17.4% and in rail transport by 85.5%.
Compared to the first quarter of 2017, the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport increased by 53.2%, in air transport by 32.0% and in rail transport by 51.8%.
