According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the first quarter of 2014, the number of passengers carried in road passenger transport was 1 653 000, in rail transport 182 000, in urban-suburban transport 19 977 000, while the number of passengers carried in air transport was 207 751.
In the same period, in comparison with the first quarter of 2013, the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport decreased by 15.8%, in air transport it increased by 38.5%, while in rail transport it increased by 0.9%.
