Tourism in the Republic of Macedonia, October 2010

According to the data of the State Statistical Offce, the number of tourists in October 2010 was 42 194, and the number of nights
spent by tourists was 96 060.
The number of tourists in October 2010, compared to October 2009, decreased by 0.4%, and the number of nights spent decreased
by 5.5%.
The number of domestic tourists in October 2010, compared to October 2009, decreased by 4.4%, and the number of foreign
tourists increased by 2.9%.
The number of nights spent by domestic tourists in October 2010, compared to October 2009, decreased by 1.0%, and the
number of nights spent by foreign tourists decreased by 9.4%.
The number of tourists in the period January - October 2010, compared to the same period last year, decreased by 1.9%: the
number of domestic tourists decreased by 2.9%, while that of foreign tourists decreased by 0.6%.
The number of nights spent in the period January - October 2010, compared to the same period last year, decreased by 4.8%: the
number of nights spent by domestic tourists decreased by 4.3%, while those by foreign tourists decreased by 6.0%.
