The number of tourists in January 2010, compared to January 2009, decreased by 21.5%, and the number of nights spent decreased by 23.9%

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the number of tourists in January 2010 was 25 872, and the number of nights spent by tourists was 59 329.
The number of domestic tourists in January 2010, compared to January 2009, decreased by 26.5%, and the number of foreign tourists decreased 14.9%.
The number of nights spent by domestic tourists in January 2010, compared to January 2009, decreased by 28.7%, and the number of nights spent by foreign tourists decreased by 15.9%.
The number of tourists in January 2010, compared to the previous month, decreased by 4.8%: the number of domestic tourists increased by 7.2%, while that of foreign tourists decreased by 15.3%.
The number of nights spent in January 2010, compared to the previous month, increased by 10.7%: the number of nights spent by domestic tourists increased by 29.1%, while those by foreign tourists decreased by 8.2%.

Dear users,
A technical error was made while preparing the News Release on the number of tourists in January 2010, published on 12.03.2010.
Namely, the Release says that the number of domestic tourists in January 2010, compared to January 2009, decreased by 26.6%, whereas the correct number should be 26.5%.
The State Statistical Office apologizes for the mistake and for any inconvenience this may have caused.
