According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the number of tourists in August 2017 was 188 758, and the number of nights
spent by tourists was 766 844.
The number of tourists in August 2017, compared to August 2016, increased by 20.4%, and the number of nights spent increased
by 10.4%.
The number of domestic tourists in August 2017, compared to August 2016, increased by 3.4%, while the number of foreign
tourists increased by 46.5%.
The number of nights spent by domestic tourists in August 2017, compared to August 2016, increased by 1.6%, and the number
of nights spent by foreign tourists increased by 41.9%.
In the period January-August 2017, compared to the same period last year, the number of tourists increased by 15.8%: the
number of domestic tourists increased by 6.6%, while that of foreign tourists increased by 22.7%.
In the period January-August 2017, compared to the same period last year, the number of nights spent increased by 11.3%: the
number of nights spent by domestic tourists increased by 4.4%, while those by foreign tourists increased by 22.6%.
