According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the number of tourists in December 2016 was 42 101, and the number of
nights spent by tourists was 81 060.
The number of tourists in December 2016, compared to December 2015, increased by 4.4%, and the number of nights spent
increased by 4.7%.
The number of domestic tourists in December 2016, compared to December 2015, decreased by 5.3%, while the number of
foreign tourists increased by 11.2%.
The number of nights spent by domestic tourists in December 2016, compared to December 2015, decreased by 4.6%, whereas
the number of nights spent by foreign tourists increased by 12.5%.
In the period January - December 2016, compared to the same period last year, the number of tourists increased by 5.0%: the
number of domestic tourists increased by 4.8%, while that of foreign tourists increased by 5.1%.
In the period January - December 2016, compared to the same period last year, the number of nights spent increased by 2.8%:
the number of nights spent by domestic tourists increased by 3.6%, while those by foreign tourists increased by 1.7%.
