According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the number of tourists in May 2016 was 86 234, and the number of nights
spent by tourists was 172 355.
The number of tourists in May 2016, compared to May 2015, increased by 5.1%, and the number of nights spent increased by
0.8%.
The number of domestic tourists in May 2016, compared to May 2015, increased by 1.4%, while the number of foreign tourists
increased by 6.7%.
The number of nights spent by domestic tourists in May 2016, compared to May 2015, increased by 1.7%, and the number of
nights spent by foreign tourists increased by 0.3%.
In the period January - May 2016, compared to the same period last year, the number of tourists increased by 11.1%: the number
of domestic tourists increased by 12.5%, while that of foreign tourists increased by 10.4%.
In the period January - May 2016, compared to the same period last year, the number of nights spent increased by 12.2%: the
number of nights spent by domestic tourists increased by 19.1%, while those by foreign tourists increased by 8.0%.
