According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the number of tourists in August 2014 was 145 445, and the number of nights
spent by tourists was 630 230.
The number of tourists in August 2014, compared to August 2013, increased by 14.0%, and the number of nights spent increased
by 7.4%.
The number of domestic tourists in August 2014, compared to August 2013, increased by 12.2%, while the number of foreign
tourists increased by 16.8%.
The number of nights spent by domestic tourists in August 2014, compared to August 2013, increased by 6.2%, whereas the
number of nights spent by foreign tourists increased by 11.9%.
The number of tourists in the period January- August 2014, compared to the same period last year, increased by 5.9%: the
number of domestic tourists increased by 2.3%, while that of foreign tourists increased by 9.0%.
The number of nights spent in the period January- August 2014, compared to the same period last year, increased by 2.1%: the
number of nights spent by domestic tourists decreased by 0.9%, while those by foreign tourists increased by 7.4%.
