According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the purchase and sale of agricultural products in the first quarter of 2019 increased by 5.9% compared to the same period of the previous year.
The value of purchased agricultural products from individual producers increased by 12.5%, while the value of sold agricultural products from own production decreased by 8.9%.
The value of total purchase and sale increased in the following agricultural products: Cereals, Industrial crops, Vegetables, Fruits, Milk and Fish while a decrease was observed in the following agricultural products: Fodder, Alcoholic beverages, Livestock, Poultry and eggs and Dairy products.
The monthly distribution of the value of purchase and sale of agricultural products shows an increase in February, while in January and March there was a decrease in the value of purchase and sale of agricultural products.
