According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the index of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in July 2012, compared to July 2011, was 99.8.
This decrease is caused by the decrease of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in the sectors: Arts, entertainment and recreation (7.8%), Administrative and support service activities (6.4%) and Other service activities (2.0%).
An increase in the average monthly gross wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (3.7%), Manufacturing (2.6%) and Information and communication (2.2%).
The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in July 2012 was 30 469 denars.
In July 2012, 2.0% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
