Average monthly gross wage paid per employee, November 2011

At the beginning of this year, the State Statistical Office applied the new National Classification of Activities (NACE
Rev.2) for collecting and processing data on the average monthly gross wages.
The monthly indices of the average gross wage per employee for 2010 are processed according to the new National
Classification of Activities (NACE Rev.2).
According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the index of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee
in November 2011, compared to November 2010, was 100.8.
This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in the sectors: Arts,
entertainment and recreation (9.7%), Professional, scientific and technical activities (9.1%) and Financial and
insurance activities (7.6%).
A decrease in the average monthly gross wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in
the sectors: Agriculture, forestry and fishing (3.3%), Human health and social work activities (3.2%) and Electricity,
gas, steam and air conditioning supply (2.6%).
The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in November 2011 was 30 591 denars.
In November 2011, 2.4% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
