At the beginning of this year, the State Statistical Office applied the new National Classification of Activities (NACE Rev.2) for collecting and processing data on the average monthly gross wages.
The monthly indices of the average gross wage per employee for 2010 are processed according to the new National Classification of Activities (NACE Rev.2).
According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the index of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in June 2011, compared to June 2010, was 103.2
This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in the sectors: Information and communication (49.2%), Other service activities (25.3%) and Arts, entertainment and recreation (7.7%).
The biggest growth in the average monthly gross wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Information and communication (23.9%), Administrative and support service activities (3.1%) and Financial and insurance activities (0.8%).
The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in June 2011 was 30 990 denars.
In June 2011, 2.5% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
