Average monthly gross wage paid per employee, October 2010

According to the data of the State Statistical Office the index of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in October 2010, compared to October 2009, was 100.6.

This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in the sectors: Mining and quarrying (5.2%), Wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles, motorcycles and personal and household goods (3.7%) and Electricity, gas and water supply (3.5%).

An increase in the average monthly gross wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Hotels and restaurants (2.5%), Transport, storage and communications (1.4%), and Education (1.1%).

The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in October 2010 was 30 279 denars. In October 2010, 2.3% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
