Average monthly gross wage paid per employee, August 2017

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the index of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in August
2017, compared to August 2016, was 102.7.
This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in the sectors: Mining and quarrying
(27.4%), Information and communication (9.2%) and Arts, entertainment and recreation (9.0%).
An increase in the average monthly gross wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors:
Mining and quarrying (26.3%), Arts, entertainment and recreation (8.7%) and Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply
(3.7%).
The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in August 2017 was 33 675 denars.
In August 2017, 1.1% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
