According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the index of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in June 2017, compared to June 2016, was 102.7.
This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in the sectors: Arts, entertainment and recreation (16.6%), Professional, scientific and technical activities (8.3%) and Mining and quarrying (7.2%).
A decrease in the average monthly gross wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Mining and quarrying (6.6%), Construction (3.8%) and Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (2.7%).
The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in June 2017 was 33 509 denars.
In June 2017, 1.1% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
