According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the index of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in May 2017, compared to May 2016, was 102.6.
This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in the sectors: Mining and quarrying (13.1%), Manufacturing (5.7%) and Professional, scientific and technical activities (5.3%).
An increase in the average monthly gross wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Mining and quarrying (5.2%), Construction (4.2%) and Professional, scientific and technical activities (4.0%).
The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in May 2017 was 33 640 denars.
In May 2017, 1.2% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
