According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the index of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in December 2016, compared to December 2015, was 103.2.
This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in the sectors: Arts, entertainment and recreation (45.1%), Information and communication (9.8%) and Construction (8.2%).
An increase in the average monthly gross wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Arts, entertainment and recreation (38.5%), Information and communication (20.3%) and Professional, scientific and technical activities (11.2%).
The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in December 2016 was 34 374 denars.
In December 2016, 1.6% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
