According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the index of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in June 2016, compared to June 2015, was 101.0.
This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in the sectors: Construction (11.0%), Agriculture, forestry and fishing (6.5%) and Information and communication (5.9%).
A decrease in the average monthly gross wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Accommodation and food service activities (3.9%), Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (3.6%) and Arts, entertainment and recreation (3.0%).
The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in June 2016 was 32 637 denars.
In June 2016, 1.6% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
