Average monthly gross wage paid per employee, January 2016

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the index of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in January
2016, compared to January 2015, was 101.8.


This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in the sectors: Agriculture, forestry
and fishing (13.7%), Administrative and support service activities (9.5%) and Construction (9.2%).


A decrease in the average monthly gross wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors:
Professional, scientific and technical activities (13.4%), Information and communication (11.3%) and Manufacturing (7.4%).


The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in January 2016 was 32 642 denars.


In January 2016, 1.0% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
