According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the index of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in August 2014, compared to August 2013, was 100.3.
This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in the sectors: Professional, scientific and technical activities (7.0%), Construction (4.6%) and Arts, entertainment and recreation (4.2%).
A decrease in the average monthly gross wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Construction (3.5%), Mining and quarrying (2.5%) and Manufacturing (2.2%).
The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in August 2014 was 31 080 denars.
In August 2014, 1.4% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
