According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the index of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in March 2014, compared to March 2013, was 98.6.
This decrease is caused by the decrease of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in the sectors: Information and communication (26.2%), Accommodation and food service activities (3.4%) and Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (2.3%).
An increase in the average monthly gross wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Agriculture, forestry and fishing (4.6%), Mining and quarrying (4.1%) and Other service activities (3.8%).
The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in March 2014 was 30 756 denars.
In March 2014, 1.4% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
