According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the index of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in February 2014, compared to February 2013, was 100.1.
This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in the sectors: Mining and quarrying (13.8%), Construction (8.5%) and Financial and insurance activities (2.8%).
A decrease in the average monthly gross wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Agriculture, forestry and fishing (7.0%), Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (6.6%) and Mining and quarrying (5.0%).
The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in February 2014 was 30 662 denars.
In February 2014, 1.3% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
